Two months old today! Cora has many things that we love about her: She’s smiling - both in response to us and spontaneously! If she has a bubble in her belly, then she hates being burped, except when she’s sleepy then she just falls asleep on our shoulders. She’s now drooling, swinging her arms and kicking her legs vigorously, sucking on her fist, and grunting hardcore to pass a bowel movement. In fact, she has a lot of funny noises that include sucking on her pacifier and crying her tired cry. My favorite development of hers is that she is now beginning to enjoy her activity mat since she can look at and attempt to hit or grab the toys that hang from it. Before this latest development, she was more partial to just hanging out in her rock n’ play and looking around. She’s not too bad of a napper, but she’s a champ at going back to bed during the night after she’s had her middle-of-the-night feeding. Lastly, she’s a lightweight! We need to fatten her up! She dropped from the 44th percentile for weight at her 2-week checkup to the 15th percentile at her 2-month checkup. No major concerns on that just yet, but we’ll be watching her weight gain like a hawk.
